We are seeking a Linux Administrator who enjoys solving problems in the Linux environment, administering it, automating workflow by collaborating with other members, and designing overall production system architectures. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible to automate tasks and improve system performance. You will work closely with other team members to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and ensure system stability, security, efficiency, and scalability. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering Linux servers and systems, troubleshooting issues, and performing system maintenance and upgrades.
You will be responsible for
• Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
• Maintain best practices for managing systems and services across all environments.
• Fault finding, analysis, and logging information for reporting performance exceptions.
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning.
• Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
• Provide input on ways to improve the environment's stability, security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
You need to have
• In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS and Debian.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB.
• Familiarity with VMWare/Ovirt/KVM and SAN management and concepts
• Expert in Shell, JavaScript, and/or Python scripting.
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP
• Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage.
