Application Support Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime and smooth operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions to recurring issues.
  • Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of application support processes and documentation.
  • Perform regular system health checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage incident response and ensure timely communication with stakeholders on system performance and availability.
  • Support application deployment and configuration changes as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements to systems and processes.


You need to have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in application support or a similar role, preferably in a Linux environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux commands, shell scripting, and system administration.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CheckMk, Grafana) and log management solutions.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues in a production environment.
  • Understanding of database management and SQL for basic troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with networking concepts and web applications.
  • Ability to document processes and troubleshoot guides for internal use.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
