Job description

System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, ensuring 24/7 availability.
Automation & Scripting: Develop Bash or Python scripts to automate routine tasks, system updates, and backups.
DevOps & CI/CD: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate smooth application deployment.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like Ansible or Terraform to manage infrastructure configuration.
Monitoring & Security: Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or ELK stack; implement security, firewalls, and patching.
Containerization: containerized apps(Docker/Kubernetes).
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience.
Linux Expertise: Deep knowledge of Linux flavours (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and command-line interfaces.
Scripting Proficiency: Strong skills in Bash and Python.
Containerization & CI/CD: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
Networking: Knowledge of protocols (DNS, DHCP), firewalls, and networking tools.
Databases: Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB)

Preferred Certifications

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
